One of these is CONNECT360
this software lets you stream movies that you have on your mac straight to your xbox then to your tv, you can also look at your photos and listen to music. this all works fine but the folder menus on the xbox don't showing your mac media is a bit to basic, also no album covers are shown.
play back is pretty good as long as you have a good wifi connection.
The next one of these software packages is RIVET
This in my opinion is a far superior piece of software, does everything that CONNECT360 does but this also shows you the art work for the dvds and albums that you have on your mac through to the xbox, almost like having iTunes on you xbox.
also at a much more pocket friendly price of absolutely free, which is amazing for what you are getting, I'm not sure why people are paying for the CONNCT360 one to be honest, probably not doing there home work
Theres a couple of things i will say about the software,
One is that they are hardly worth bothering with if you are using mobile broadband as these are usually slow at streaming massive data file but they do work perfectly fine with your normal broadband

Also these will not let you mirror your macbook screen so don't expect to be able to watch anything playing on your macbook screen on your tv, you'll need to spend much more money to be able to do this.
RIVET is a fantastic and easy app to use and a must have if you own a mac and a xbox
well there you go girls and boys, i hope this helps anyone stuck on which one they should get and what they actually do
